Government Reports

I project managed numerous federal government reports while on contract for Austrade (Australian Trade and Investment Commission). I also had to obtain a baseline security clearance for this contract. I ensured the projects were on brand, on time and proofread for typographical and brand consistency. I managed the proofing process between external designers and internal content experts. Some of these reports were classified and needed approval at ministerial level.

Austrade (Australian Trade and Investment Commission)

I project managed the production of the Austrade Annual Report. I briefed the designer and typesetter and was the liaison with the content experts. I ensured the report was on brand and managed the proofing between all external and internal parties. Browse through the pdf to see how the design theme blended through the report.

BEING MentaL Health Consumers

In line with the re-brand I designed for BEING, I produced BEING’s annual report. With all the interesting brand elements, I made this a really fun brand to work with (if I don’t say so myself!) – that reflects the positive outlook BEING has and makes for people with mental illness.

Re-brands

Re-brands

I have been involved in numerous re-brands. From an entire LGA (Warringah Council flannel flower to the ‘W’ logo (the council later merged to become Norhtern Beaches Council). In this case, the new brand was designed by an external agency and I was the brand design lead in the implementation of the brand across all areas of council. I set up Sharepoint to allow staff to easliy access new brand assets.

For all re-brands, I take on all aspects – from writing the guidelines, to designing the collateral, templates, websites, social media and the implementation across all channels. Brand consistency is crucial.

BEING Mental Health Consumers

I designed and implemented the complete re-brand of this mental health not-for-profit. I am very proud of this re-brand. Please take a look through the new brand guidelines to learn about the brand’s very particular meaning. I was the sole designer.

SafeMate Medical Device Start Up

SafeMate is a fantastic use of QR code to quickly give paramedics medical information of an individual. Their existing logo, although visually attractive, did not relay the message that this was a life saving medical device. I re-designed the logo and created their new brand.

This Guringai Festival is an annual event raising awareness of indigenous people in northern Sydney. This brochure focused on youth and the theme was public art on the northern beaches, a passion of mine! Although a few years ago, I feel this design holds as it is a clean grid, displaying information and images in a way that gives emphasis to both. I loved this project as I got to go around and take photos of street / public art as well as learn about some I did not know existed.

I produced eight eDMS a month in this role as a designer in a wholesale technology distributor company. We did an A/B test on these two designs. The darker theme was the more successful. I produce newsletters and eDMs in my current roles and would be happy to send email samples upon request.

DL Brochures are still a very popular way to convey information even in this digital age. They can be informational, a marketing tool, advertising an event… they are an easy way for people to take the information with them and an affordable print option. I have more examples upon request.
